He is retired from the Oklahoma State Health Department as Health Facilities Consultant.
His hobbies were bird watching, doing crossword puzzles & playing computer games. John loved joking around and had an excellent sense of humor.
John was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ilene; his son, Michael Hanley; and his brother-in-law, Harold Taylor. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy and her husband Randy Gibson; grandson Robbie & his wife Renee; granddaughter, Kellie and her husband Adam Ferrari; great-granddaughter, Zola Gibson; an great-grandson, Brayden Gibson; brothers, Doug, Gary and his wife Stacey, and Jay and his wife Brenda; sisters, Barbara Jean Taylor and Geneva and her husband Ray Owens; and many other family members and friends.
