Karen Louise Carpenter

Karen Louise Rupp was born on July 31, 1948 in Oklahoma City. She was blessed to be adopted by

Clara "Snyder" Rupp and Adolph Rupp and brother Dennis Rupp. She grew up in Lucien, Oklahoma where she was raised on a dairy farm. She often spoke of her fond memories of her brother and her running around, the things they did together, and what a loving family that she had.

Karen married Robert "Bob" Carpenter October 15, 1971 while she was attending college. Karen received a Bachelor's degree from OSU, and her Master's from UCO in Edmond. They moved to Edmond in 1976 to a brand new house. She and Bob lived there until Bob's death in August 29, 1994. Karen was never the same as her grief was insurmountable.

Karen ran an accounting firm until ten years ago in Edmond but didn't give up accounting until

about 5 years ago. She then moved into Assisted Living last year. She loved the people she met there, often remarking that she had a trio of angels that made her smile and forget her ailments. Karen also loved her nieces and nephew and her great nieces. She spoke fondly of their connections. They were her heart.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents Clara and Adolph Rupp, her beloved husband "Bob" and

her beloved brother Dennis.

She is survived by Jacob Rupp his wife Alisha, Jondra and Jennifer Rupp and great nieces Clara,

Christine, and Caroline.

A visitation for Karen will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131.

A funeral service will occur Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home's Historic Cemetery Chapel, with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation in Karen's honor.
