Kinh Van Le
August 8, 1939 – April 3, 2019
Kinh Van Le, fondly referred to as “Ba”, by his family, lived a long and meaningful life. He committed himself to work that was bigger than himself. He fought for democracy during the Vietnam War, he served people for years and years in his career in the medical field, and constantly looked for ways to better the lives of his family. He was surrounded by people he loved. The most important people in his life were his two daughters and his wife. His daughters were his pride and joy and he was married to his wife for 55 wonderful years. “Ba” had a perspective that found purpose in the pain we experience in life. In every fight, he chose to see purpose in his pain. Whether the wound he received during the Vietnam War or the cancer he fought at the end of his life. In every battle, he saw God’s hand at work. It was in April of 2015, that “Ba” was baptized in Vietnam. After spending 70 years as a dedicated Buddhist he was introduced to the love and grace of Jesus. After that, he spent the rest of his days striving to show people the same love and grace that he was shown. “Ba” is now spending the rest of eternity with his Heavenly Father. We will miss him deeply, but we are comforted to know he is in a better place and his memories and legacy are still here with us.
