Lloyd Ray Stewart

Lloyd Roy Stewart, 64, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026. He was born on March 9, 1962, in Fort Hood, Texas, and throughout his life, Lloyd was known for his hard work, his love of the outdoors, and most of all, the genuine warmth he showed to the people around him.

Lloyd graduated from high school and spent most of his adult life working in construction, building a career with his own two hands. In the last ten years of his working life, he found his calling in painting, where his steady hand and attention to detail earned him the affectionate nickname “Fine Line Lloyd.” It was a fitting name for a man who took pride in his work and in doing things right.

Lloyd’s greatest adventure, however, was the life he shared with his wife, Penny. What began as a first date grew into 36 years of love, memories, and a life together. Lloyd and Penny were married on September 23, 2017, and their love remained a constant throughout the years.

A true outdoorsman, Lloyd found happiness in the simple things. He loved fishing, camping, gardening, and spending time outside. He especially enjoyed floating the Illinois River, where he could relax and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. He also loved playing pool and darts, watching sports, especially OU football, and spending time with the people he loved.

Those who knew Lloyd will remember him for his tremendous smile and the way he greeted everyone with his familiar, “How ya doing?” He had a way of making people feel welcome, and his smile could brighten a room. Lloyd’s easy going nature, hardworking spirit, and genuine kindness left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Ira G. Stewart and Ingrid Stewart (Schmidt); and his daughter, Stephanie Michelle Stewart.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Penny Blakeley-Stewart of the home; his son, Jeremy Scott Stewart; his brother, Gary Stewart; and his six grandchildren, Olivia Roxanne Spencer, Severo Ira Zuniga Cruz, Demitrio Ira Stefan Cruz, Randie Rain, Rockie Ruth, and Jackie Jean Turner. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends whose lives were made better by knowing him.

Lloyd will be deeply missed, but the memories he created, the love he gave, and that unforgettable smile will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. And for those who can still hear him saying it, perhaps the best way to remember Lloyd is simply to imagine that smile and hear his familiar greeting:

“How ya doing?”

A Memorial Service will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home in the Legacy Chapel, located at 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131, US, on October 3, 2026, at 11:00 am.
