

Lois Louise Simonton, was born October 16, 1928, in Ninnekah, OK, to parents Samuel Allen & Rosie Lee (Williams) Drummond and passed away August 5, 2013, in Guthrie, OK. She married the love of her life, Lewis Mack Simonton, June 13, 1954, at the Holy City in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Oklahoma College for Women in 1949 and was elementary school teacher in Colorado and Paul’s Valley, OK. Then was a homemaker and mother for the rest of her life.
She loved to travel with her husband all over the world. She especially liked Hong Kong, Hawaii, and Europe. She also traveled with her sister Gayle to the Holy Land.
She and Mack kept a huge vegetable/fruit garden and later in life she loved to work on her flower beds. She made good country food and was an excellent cook. She also liked to sew; quilts, clothes, etc.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 37 years, Mack; one brother; and three sisters.
She is survived by her son, Andrew Simonton & wife Angie; daughter, Valli Simonton; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Corrine Boatwright and Gayle Drummond; brother, Robert Drummond; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be at Memorial Park, Wednesday, from 9am to 8pm. Funeral services will be 2pm, Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
