Mabel Claire McKelvey was born Feb. 12, 1924, in Wales, Iowa on a farm. She was one of 9 children and grew up in Red Oak, Iowa. During WWII, she went to Lincoln, Neb. and was working in a factory, where she met her husband of sixty-nine years. Mabel was active in the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and the Village Methodist Church and school. All of her adult life was spent helping other people! She is survived by her husband, Bill, daughter Susan and son-in-law Patrick McGraw, grandson Sean McGraw and great-granddaughter Elsie Kate McGraw.
