Marion was born in Montgomery, Alabama on September 14, 1931 where she eventually met her husband, the late Lt. Col. Wayne Leo Meade. She is survived by three children: Thomas Leo Meade (Cheryl), Rayne Frances Meade-Kaul (David) and Craig Andrew Meade (Paula), as well as five grandchildren: Christopher Smith, Lyndee Wattenbarger, April Meade, Katherine Meade and Hayden Meade, and six great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by a sister-in-law Nell Williams and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Elsie Williams, two sisters Sara Reeves, Mary Etta Tatum and one brother Lloyd Williams.
All of those who loved her knew that she loved the Lord. He came first in all that she did, thereby being a beacon of light to family and friends. She was an artist of quilting, sewing, crocheting, gardening and baking. She loved traveling to see family all over the country, always generous with her time and spirit.
That beacon of light will continue to shine in the hearts that knew Mom, Gooma, AJ, or Joyce.
May you rest in peace near your one and only Earthly love, Wayne Leo Meade.
