Marvin Floyd Holleman, 77, of Savannah House, Guthrie, Oklahoma, passed away on February 8, 2025. Born in Brownfield, Texas, on November 12, 1947, to Floyd and Lavella Holleman, Marvin grew up attending both Brownfield and Davenport Schools.
On March 27, 1970, he married the love of his life, Virginia M. Holleman, and together they built a life filled with love, family, and countless cherished memories. Marvin worked as a heavy equipment operator, beginning his career with Alied before transitioning into environmental restoration.
A proud member of the Marine Corps and the American Legion, Marvin held a deep sense of service and camaraderie. He was also a man of faith who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures—fishing, grilling out, cooking, and woodworking. His mischievous sense of humor and love for pranks brought endless laughter to those who knew him. He also found joy in playing dominoes, a game that brought family and friends together.
Marvin’s legacy lives on through his loving family: his children, Joshua Eli Holleman and wife Lanie Rose Johnson, and Crystal Dawn Cary and husband Bradford Dean; his grandchildren, Emily Page Johnson Holleman, Joseph Eli Johnson Holleman, Brandi Ray Ross, Dakota Duster Ross, Hailey Nicole Ross, and Sierra Renee Ross; and his great-grandchildren, Jesse Isaac Ross, Olivia Ray Urincho, Miles Bekkett Ross, and Nikola Ivan Urincho. He is also survived by his siblings, Daisy Nora May Holleman, Sharron Lucille Quary, Charlotte Sue Barham, Kimberly Annette Underwood, and Donald Albert Holleman.
Marvin will be remembered not only for his hard work and dedication but also for his big heart and playful spirit. His ornery nature and love for laughter will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Memorial Park’s Historic Cemetery Chapel.
Marvin’s family invites all who knew and loved him to join in honoring his life, sharing stories, and celebrating the remarkable man he was.
