Medford Cashion, Jr. was born August 15, 1916 in Eudora, Arkansas to Medford Cashion, Sr. and Mary Lamar Cashion, and died July 29, 2018. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1938, Medford became a Naval Aviator achieving the rank of LCDR by the end of WWII. In September 1945, he married Kathryn Stromquist of Austin, TX, who also served in the Navy. Med and Kay moved to Oklahoma City and entered the family business of real estate developing and home building. Partnering with his brother Lamar, they developed Top of the Town, Wildwood, Wildwood Hills, Edgewater Park, and Bluff Creek, all primarily residential projects, and Med also served as President of the OKC Homebuilders Association. In 1982 Med and Kay moved to Kingwood Tx to spend their retirement years closer to their sons and grandchildren. Med was preceded in death by wife Kay, and by grandson Donnie. He is survived by his three sons, Ford and wife Sandra of Spokane, WA, Ken and wife June of OKC, and Mark and wife Bekah of Eugene, OR, and by seven grandchildren , five spouses, and eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Services will be held at 10AM Saturday, October 13th at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Edmond. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hearts for Hearing at www.heartsforhearing.ORG.
