Mitchell Andrew Short, of Edmond, was born May 11, 2005 and went to be with Jesus on September 21, 2025 at the age of 20. Mitchell attended Oklahoma Christian Schools from 2nd to 8th grades and finished at Edmond Memorial High School where he graduated in 2023. Following high school you may remember seeing Mitchell from his time working at Coulter’s Car Wash. At the beginning of this year he was excited about his new career at State Farm.
Mitchell met Ava, the woman he wanted to marry in January of 2023. She instantly became part of our family.
He loved skateboarding and spent his time at Mitch Park. He was a spicy chicken adrenaline junky. Extra flaming hot chips were his favorite as well as the hottest hot sauce he could find.
Mitchell was a best friend to all. He brought people into our home who needed a place to stay. He cared passionately about his family, his friends and his pets no matter how he was feeling. He was full of energy, loved hard and was the absolute best uncle to PJ!
Mitchell is preceded in death by his grandma Irene. He leaves cherished memories with his parents, Casey and Kristen Short, his brother Mason and wife Jessica, nephew PJ, girlfriend Ava Vandersee, as well as many other loving family and friends. He will be forever loved!
