He was a proud graduate of the Air War College and earned a Master of Science degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, accomplishments that underscored his dedication to excellence and lifelong learning.
On January 8, 1999, Patrick married the love of his life, Robin Mitchell. Together they built a life centered on family, resilience, and shared purpose.
Beyond his professional achievements, Patrick had a passion for rock collecting and a deep appreciation for history. He found joy in discovering the stories held within both the earth and the past, interests he shared with those closest to him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Robin Mitchell; his children, Evianna Mitchell and Piper Mitchell; mother, Beth Mitchell; his siblings, Shannon Byrum and Jake Mitchell; grandmother, Dorothy Mitchell.
Patrick will be remembered for his strength, integrity, and unwavering dedication to his family and his country. His legacy of service and love will endure in the lives he touched. Services will be held at a private service at the family estate in Texas.
