Paula Diane Hensley, born September 25, 1985 in Cherry Point, North Carolina, passed away May 21, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 34.

Beloved first born of Donna (Coleman) and David Hensley. Paula arrived with the same strength and intensity as the hurricane that struck North Carolina that day.

Born into a Scouting family, Paula went on her first campout at 8 months old. Her Dad’s Boy Scouts at one end of the camp and her Mom’s Girl Scouts at the other. She followed her love of Scouting and outdoors through her teens.

Paula learned to read at an early age and always had a book in her hand. This love of reading and writing lead to her placement in Gifted and Talented classes throughout her school years. While attending NOC in Enid, Oklahoma, she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

Paula’s most honored achievement was the birth of her three children, Aria, Evan and Elliot whom she loved with all her heart.

Paula is survived by her mother, Donna Hensley of Oklahoma City; father, David Hensley of Aberdeen, North Carolina; daughter, Aria Sage Lyle of Enid; son, Evan Rex Odom of Oklahoma City; son, Elliot Payne Fizer of Oklahoma City; sister, Samantha Hensley (Jon) of Austin, Texas; brother, Kyle Hensley of Oklahoma City; nephews, Julian and Charlie Bermudez of Austin, Texas; uncles: Doug Hensley, Keith Coleman, Shawn Coleman, and William Coleman; aunts: Pamela King, Deborah Devereux, and Jennifer Klepper; and many cousins and dear friends. Her infectious loving spirit will be missed by all that knew her.
