Didn't know Richard personally but as a retired Army Soldier had the opportunity to meet his son Richard Daniel Lopez and his Mom here in Puerto Rico today. He loves his Dad dearly. Even have pictures of him. Very handsome and we'll behaved Kid. Semper Fidelis. 

I hadn't seen Richard since we were 16 years old but had kept in touch on and off over the years. I was so sorry to hear what happened, but I know my old friend is with the Lord on the other end. God bless you and see you again one day my old friend.

Your big sister LOVES YOU and we will make up time missed on the other side. I am so very proud of your accomplishments in life. I am so proud of you that words cannot describe. You left an example for your big sister in living a FULL life in only 24 years. You've really set the bar high for me and I thank you. I thank you you and I Love You. Take care of Lucy for me until I see you again. I Love You little brother FOREVER. I miss your smile.

I would like to say that I am so sorry to hear about Richard. I haven't seen Richard in about 15 or 16 years. He went to school with my son. They played Chess together at Ida Freeman Elementary School and Richard came over to our house a few times. I remember him being such a nice polite kid and I was happy that my son had a friend like Richard. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Richard was an amazing man and I was blessed to serve in the Marines with him. My condolences go out to his family. Know this when we go to heaven he will be guarding the pearly gates waiting for us to arrive. Semper Fidelis

Freda, just heard of Richards passing. He will truly be missed by all. He was a blessing to our family & myself personally. He made me very proud of him on many occations, both as an athletic & fine young man. My prayers go to your entire family. I'm here if you need me.
