

Bob graduated from Classen High School and attended Oklahoma State University where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was also a proud veteran and served in the US Army Reserves. Bob chose a career in the insurance field and worked at Oklahoma Farmers Union for almost 40 years. His interests included cars, motorcycles, bowling, playing cards, golf, dogs, and his family.
Bob was married to his beloved wife, friend, and soulmate Debra P. Thomas for 34 years of their 44 year relationship.
He is survived by his sister Betty Cook and nephew David Cook of Dallas, TX, his son Robert D. Thomas Jr. and wife Angie Thomas of Edmond, OK, grandson Robert D. Thomas III and wife Jasmin of Oklahoma City, granddaughter Shelby Thornton of Moore, OK, several nephews and nieces, sisters in law, friends, and his dogs Laci and Taz. Bob was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara R. Thomas.
Bob was a kind person with a strong work ethic, a great sense of humor, and strong love for his family. He will be greatly missed and always in our hearts. Services will be held 11am, Friday, October 13th at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
