He was born in Salto, Uruguay on October 19, 1946. Rodrigo graduated high school from IPOLL Salto. He received his bachelor's degree in business and MBA from Oklahoma City University. He married the love of his life, Valerie Baker, on December 22, 1972.
Rodrigo was a rancher in Uruguay and Argentina. During his youth, he enjoyed sailing. He also had a passion for many outdoor activities like fishing, and traveling.
He was survived by his wife Valerie Sant'Anna; Son Roen and wife Jimena with children Sebastian and Clara; Son Rodrigo and wife Natasha with children Veronica and Sophie; Daughter Vanessa and husband Marty Porter with children Elizabeth and Victoria.
