Sarah Elaine Torrence

Sarah "Sadie" Kidwell Torrence, 71, of Edmond, OK, passed away on October 8, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Sarah was born in 1945, in Miami, OK, to Rev. Albert Kidwell and Ruby Louise Kidwell. She lived every moment with strength and passion, throwing herself into singing, playing piano, and service to the Lord. Through every part of her life, from the Bison Chorale at Oklahoma Baptist University, to her years as "Sadie the News Lady" at KLKC Radio in Parsons KS, Sarah's voice, whether talking, laughing or singing, was the common thread. She passed her love of music to her children and grandchildren, and every family gathering was filled with laughter and song. Sarah is preceded in passing by her parents, Rev. Albert Kidwell and Ruby Louise Kidwell, her sister, Rebecca Enoch, and her brother, Albert Kidwell Jr. Survivors include her husband JET Torrence, of Edmond OK, a brother, M.R. Kidwell, of Yuma AZ, her son Gregory Gay and wife Donna, her daughter Lori Gonzalez and husband Clay, and son Trevor Torrence and wife Megan, and her grandchildren, Sarah Stoneman, Ghislaine Gay, Caitlin Stoneman, Jacob Gay, Moira Gonzalez, Kaia Gonzalez, and Gunner Torrence. Services will be held at 10am, Saturday, October 15th, 2016, at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 13313 N. Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK.
