Sharon Louise Koppari, 62, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025 following a fierce battle with breast cancer.
Born on December 6, 1962, in Vanderhoof, British Columbia, Canada, to Glenn and Evelyn (Salary) Goodridge, Sharon grew up in British Columbia. While attending Correlieu Secondary School in Quesnel, she met the love of her life, Stephen Koppari. The two graduated from high school in 1980 and married on September 19, 1981.
As a military family, Sharon and Stephen lived in Germany and locations around the United States before settling in Edmond in 2002. The couple raised three beloved children, Kimberly, Zachary, and Kaitlyn.
Sharon held various roles over the years, including figure skating instructor, seamstress, video store manager, and bank teller. Her banking career began in Mountain Home, Idaho, and continued in Oklahoma, where she worked at Allegiance Credit Union. There, she started as a teller before moving into roles in training, indirect lending, and compliance. Most recently, Sharon worked as a compliance officer until her retirement.
However, Sharon’s most cherished role was as a grandmother to her three grandchildren, Lucas, Liliana, and Evelyn, and she could often be found at the baseball field, basketball gym, or skating rink cheering them on from the sidelines.
A gifted artist and crafter, Sharon was a natural in a range of mediums, including sewing, watercolor and oil painting, needlepoint, crochet, embroidery, and knitting. She was always drawn back to her passion for sewing and in recent years focused on quilting and designing custom handbags, lovingly crafting keepsakes for family and friends.
Survivors include Sharon’s husband of nearly 44 years, Stephen Koppari; daughter Kimberly Roach and husband Jason; son Zachary Koppari and wife Chelsey; daughter Kaitlyn Koppari; and grandchildren Lucas and Liliana Roach and Evelyn Koppari, all of Edmond.
Sharon is also survived by her father Glenn Goodridge of Oliver, British Columbia, Canada; sister Patricia McIntosh and husband Bill of West Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada; sister Andrea Feeley and husband Mark of Kanata, Ontario, Canada; as well as her father-in-law and many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
