I was also one of the members of our group of five very close friends (later expanded to eight). We all ended up in different places all over the U.S., but did manage to meet or interchange e-mails from time-to-time.
We witnessed the coming together of Sid and Maryanne early in High School, and how their relationship just grew and grew. They were deeply in love then, and always.
For a short while, our families both lived in Tulsa, when the children were young, creating some very nice memories. We also later had a couple of very nice visits in Santa Fe together, and had unfulfilled plans to get together in Florida someday.
Sid was an ambitious, but very friendly person. His success in the oil patch revealed he probably had the best business-sense of any of us.
Just last year, we made additional attempts at contact, but unfortunately were unsuccessful.
But he will be missed, just the same. Condolences to the entire family.

Always a great friend. Somewhat low key as if he knew everything about anything - and probably did. Will be missed.

I was shocked to hear of Sid's passing. He has been a friend since the 5th grade in 1947. (70 years) He was one of four close friends who stayed together from Grade School to the end of High School in 1955. We had such a great time in school and scouting. We took numerous camping trips together. Truly unforgettable experiences.

I am sure he will be truly missed by all his friends and family.

Sorry to hear about Sid's death. He was a wonderful roommate in college. Later on I lost communications with him which is sad to me. God Bless you.
