Tammy Dawn Causey, 53, of Oklahoma City, passed away May 8, 2013 from respiratory failure. She was born April 8, 1960 in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
Tammy graduated from Edmond High School in 1978, and from University of Central Oklahoma in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Criminal Justice. In 1985 she received her Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University School of Law. In 1984 she attended summer law school in Oxford, England and traveled in Europe.
Tammy lived in Conifer, Colorado from 1989 to 1995 working for Royal Insurance Company in Denver, Colorado, as the liaison between General Motors and Royal Insurance in the product liability division. In 1995, Tammy returned to Oklahoma. In 2001, she went to work for Farmers Insurance Company in Oklahoma City, where she suffered a stroke in 2008.
Tammy loved reading and had an extensive collection of books. She also loved traveling and took many trips; the most recent, to Italy.
Tammy is survived by her mother, Janice Little of Edmond, OK; her father, David Causey of Luther, OK; her brother and sister-in-law, Wade and Candice Causey of Gilbert, AZ; three nephews,Troy Causey, Nathanial Causey, Chad Causey; and one niece, Bregany Causey, all of Gilbert, AZ; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m.– 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2013 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Memorial Park Historic Cemetery Chapel followed by a committal service at Memorial Park Cemetery.

David and Family, Jerry and I are so sorry for your loss. I worked with David at Employers Casualty for several years and he spoke very highly of Wade and Tammy. You will be in our prayers.

I worked with Tammy at Helppoint (Farmers Insurance). She was a beautiful, sweet and loving lady. She will be greatly missed by her family.
