Thelma L. Swickey

Thelma was born November 15, 1911 in Dent County, Missouri. The family later relocated to Caddo County in Oklahoma. Thelma was called home to her Lord and Savior on June 25, 2011 at the age of 99 years.

Thelma was predeceased by a daughter, Betty L. Boismier and a son, Orville L. Lair. She was also predeceased by husbands, sister, brothers, grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Thelma is survived by granddaughters, Janice M. Lyles and husband Jerry, Marla Satterfield, Gayle Boyer, Angela Salmon and husband Johnny. Also, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Thelma was happiest when she was entertaining her family, especially the grand-children, working in her flower gardens which were always beautiful and well kept. She committed her Life to Christ at the age of 13 years and was Baptized in the Washita River north of Anadarko, Oklahoma.

In her early years Thelma taught Junior Sunday School Classes and attended church with her children. Through these many years she has never failed to speak for God and Jesus Christ as her redeemer.

Services will be conducted 11:00 am, Friday, July 1, 2011 at the Memorial Park Cemetery Historic Chapel with interment and a reception to follow, also at Memorial Park Cemetery.
