Wanda Sue Hervey

Born on June 11, 1938, in Oklahoma City, Wanda lived a life defined by hard work, faith, love for her family, and a joyful spirit that embraced every opportunity life had to offer.

Wanda's strong work ethic and dedication were evident throughout her career. She proudly served as a dispatcher for the Oklahoma City Police Department, worked as a bank manager, and later spent 20 cherished years with Southwest Airlines. Throughout each chapter of her professional life, she was known for her dependability, kindness, and unwavering commitment to serving others.

In 1984, Wanda married the love of her life, Donald Hervey. Together they built a life filled with love, companionship, and treasured memories.

A proud member of the American Business Women's Association, Wanda was also devoted to serving her church and her community. She believed in living life to its fullest, finding joy in traveling to new places, playing a round of golf, gathering around the table for card games with family and friends, and creating memories with those she held dear. Her adventurous spirit, warm heart, and infectious smile made everyone around her feel welcome.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Hervey; parents, Louis R Halibig and Dessie McWhorter, and brothers, Edward Neil Halbig and James Louis Halbig.

Family was the greatest blessing of Wanda's life. She is survived by her daughters, Stephnie Erickson and husband, Jeff Erickson, and Trenda Roberts and husband, Jerry Roberts; her grandchildren, Chad Gifford, Adrianne Woolery, Sheldon Roberts and wife Shelby, Kandice Roberts; her great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Woolery, Carrera Woolery, Hayes Roberts, and Forrest Roberts; as well as many extended family members and cherished friends whose lives were enriched by her love and friendship.

Wanda will be remembered for her steadfast faith, generous heart, and the genuine love she shared with everyone she met. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and the example she set will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A Graveside Service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131, US, on July 2, 2026, at 10:30 am.
