Wanita Wimberly died on 2-18-13. She was born on 3-30-30 in Big Cabin, Oklahoma to Elmer & Clara Tippett. She had 6 older sisters & 2 older brothers. She married on September 14, 1946 to Homer Allen Wimberly in Muleshoe, Texas. They lived in New Mexico for twenty years and then moved to Cromwell in 1968.
Wanita was a retired beautician and was on the election board. She also served as Mayor of Cromwell for several years. She loved to spend her time reading and enjoyed crocheting many things for her family and friends. She was an avid OU, Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Cowboy fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Wimberly and is survived by her four children, Danny Wimberly, Cromwell, Robert Wimberly, Norman, Sherrye Rahmanzadeh, Edmond, and Ted Wimberly, Wills Pointe, Texas. She had 11 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1pm, Friday, February 22, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Cromwell with interment to follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole.
