

William Eugene Darrow, Jr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and faithful servant of the Lord, was born on September 24, 1935, in Atlanta, Georgia, to William Eugene Darrow and Catherine Darrow. He entered into heaven on June 10, 2026, in Edmond, Oklahoma, surrounded by the love and memories of a life well lived.
On October 18, 1954, William married the love of his life, Barbara Lee Burnside. Together they built a marriage filled with faith, commitment, and family, sharing many cherished years and creating a legacy that continues through future generations.
William dedicated much of his professional life to Hobby Lobby Stores, where his strong work ethic earned him the position of Vice President. After a distinguished career, he retired in January 2006.
While he was proud of his professional accomplishments, his greatest joy was always found in his family and his faith.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure his wisdom, guidance, and unwavering love: his son, Thomas Darrow; his daughters, Catherine Blevins and Cynthia Richards; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. His legacy lives on in each of them and in the values, he instilled throughout his life.
William was preceded in death by his parents, William and Catherine Darrow; his sister, Sandra Geiger; and his beloved granddaughter, Rachel Richards.
Though his family mourns his passing, they find comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with loved ones gone before him and resting peacefully in the presence of his Lord and Savior.
A Visitation for Family & Friends will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131, on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Funeral Service will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home Legacy Chapel, 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131, on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
Burial will follow the Funeral Service at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13400 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131.
