

Winfield James Dunlap, 99, passed away peacefully October 4, 2016. James is preceded in death by his beloved wife Josephine; his parents Sophia and Winfield Scott; his sisters Violat Newman of Oklahoma City, and Sophia Priddy of Walters, Ok., as well as his daughter Darlene Curtis, Oklahoma City. He is survived by his step children Rudy Nieves (Josette) of Oklahoma City, Kathy Glore (Terry) of Lizella, Ga., and Cynthia Brown (Jerry) of Little Rock, Ar. He is also survived by his loving nieces "the Priddy Girl, " Gloria Williams, Ruth Phillpot, Fran Henry, Sherrie Hobgood; his nephews Larry Pendleton and Ben Priddy; and many more nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Born in Wilson, Ok. in 1917, his family moved to Romania when he was four and they remained until his teenage years. When returning to the United States the family moved to Norman where he completed high school. He then moved to Oklahoma City for college. The majority of his career was as comptroller for Meadowgold Daily in Oklahoma City and then Denver, Co. There will be a graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 11:00am. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
