Amelia Jean-Marie Keagle

During pregnancy, Amelia was diagnosed with a combination of heart and lung conditions, most notably hypoplastic left heart syndrome and obstructed total anomalous pulmonary venous

return. At 29 weeks, her doctors first found that the downstream effects of these conditions would likely make her unfit for surgery. Over the next eight weeks, despite the small chance of

success, her parents continued to pursue every possible medical option, working with doctors at AdventHealth in Orlando and at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in hopes of a different

outcome. Amelia was cared for by some of the best doctors in the world for these conditions and was ultimately recommended for comfort care. Her mother, Taylor, carried her to term and

delivered her at 37 and a half weeks, first to give her the best chance at surgery and then to give her as much time here on earth as possible.

Amelia lived for 62 minutes, and she spent her entire life knowing nothing but love and affection from her parents.

In that time, they held her, sang to her, and spoke to her. Shortly after birth, her father gave her an emergency Catholic baptism. Although her time on earth was short, the

love and happiness she brought to her family will live on for the rest of their lives.

Amelia is survived by her parents, Riley and Taylor Keagle of Orlando; her grandparents, Grandpa Mike and Grandma Kathy Keagle and Grandma Carol Bontrager, all of Elkhart,

Indiana; her uncles, Brendon (Krystal) Keagle and Max (Haley) Keagle, both of Elkhart, and

Max Bontrager of Denver, Colorado; and her great-grandparents, Great-Grandpa David

Bontrager and Great-Grandma Kay Stout of Elkhart.

A visitation will be held at 4:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 5:00 p.m., on Sunday,

September 27, 2026, at Baldwin-Fairchild Chapel Hill in Orlando. The services are open to all

family, friends, and coworkers. Interment will take place at a later date at Queen of Angels

Catholic Cemetery in Winter Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Amelia's honor

to Matthew's Gift, a local charity dedicated to helping young families after the loss of a child, at
