Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints in the snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush, I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die. (Author Unknown)

Barbara was a beloved friend and employee for over 35 years. She and I worked together for over 25 years. Our children were considered as her grandchildren. In fact, the first day we started working together was the day after our son was born. She was always so kind and thoughtful of others. We continued to see her after she retired and have some fond memories of dinner with them at Roy’s. We will miss her dearly and cherish the memories of our time together.

A neighbor for 17 years, she and Chuck were examples to us all. Every time I would ask someone if they knew Barbara Cross, the answer was always the same “Everybody knows Barbara Cross. She is such a nice lady.” I will always remember Barbara as the one who stood tallest among the strong. I have no doubt she is teaching the class “How to be a good example to others while here in Heaven”.

Sad to know of your Mom’s passing. I’m sure she would have appreciated the kind words said about her in the obituary . The final paragraph with the quote is beautiful.
