Brigitte B. King, 92, of Allegro Senior Living in Winter Park passed away on September 11, 2024. She was born in Leipzig, Germany on July 28th, 1932. She fled Eastern Germany into Western Germany having survived WWII. Brigitte met her husband, James H. King in Frankfurt in 1960. They married on September 19, 1962 in Greenville, SC. They moved to CT in 1966 and lived in Wethersfield, Manchester, and South Windsor. Having spent 31 years in South Windsor, they left for warmer weather in Orlando, FL.
She had a passion for reading, nature, and the arts, but her greatest passion was her children and giving a new chance at life through adoption. She dedicated her life to her family.
Brigitte is predeceased by her daughter Tanja B. King. Brigitte is survived by husband James H. King, and children Anthony J. King of Stuttgart Germany, Sabina K. King of Moraga CA, Christopher T. King of Foothill Ranch, CA and Stefan S. King of Bueckeburg, Germany and three grandchildren Faith, Sophia and Hunter.
Funeral arrangements will be held on September 17th at 10AM at Baldwin Fairchild at Chapel Hill located at 2420 Harrell Road in Orlando. This will be followed by a graveside service from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
