Donald Kelso LaCrone, 93, of Tavares, Florida, passed away on September 15, 2026 surrounded by his wife and family. He was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on March 12, 1933. He graduated from Battle Creek High in 1951.
He married Virginia Ann Weller on January 19, 1956. They celebrated 70 years together.
Donald was in the US Air Force as a pilot. He flew air refuelers and helicopters throughout his 20 years of service. He retired in 1973. After retiring he went back to school and received a Bachelor of Finance degree from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in 1976.
His love of tinkering with cars led him to become an Auto Mechanics Teacher at Edgewater High School in Orlando, Florida.
Donald was an avid collector of toy cars and model railroad trains. Also loved to do the New York Times crossword puzzles, watch old movies and TV shows.

His Great-grandchildren: Tyler Rispoli (Tori), Breanna Reynolds, Jaysen Rispoli, Karolyn Rispoli, Emma Rispoli
His Siblings: William LaCrone (Jean), Suzanne Soper (John)
He is predeceased by his parents, Donald T. LaCrone and Grace W. Diller; and his daughter, Michele Warren.
Visitation will be held at Baldwin Fairchild at Chapel Hill, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32817, on September 25, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2400 HARRELL RD, ORLANDO, FL 32817, on September 25, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
