

Doug was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 13, 1953. He graduated from Stetson University, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Communications.
He was married to Donna Carol Showers Chilcoat on June 5, 1976. She worked as a music teacher for Orange County Public Schools until she retired in 2020.
Doug worked for the City of Orlando in the IT department, directly supporting the Orlando Police Department and its public safety software for 30 years. Doug was a great mentor and a valuable asset to everyone he met.
Doug was a devoted husband, a loving father, a fun grandfather and a great friend. All his grandkids called him Bobo as he called his grandfather. Doug took care of his family to ensure they lived a happy life.
Doug and his family would hike in his younger years all over the country. He loved the outdoors and took advantage of nature when he could.
Doug was preceded in death by his father John Miles Chilcoat, his mother Barbara Haile Chilcoat, and an older brother John Miles Chilcoat Jr. who died in infancy.
Doug is survived by his wife, Donna Chilcoat; 3 sisters, Barbara Von Harten, Rosalie Chilcoat, and Deborah Chilcoat; 2 daughters, Christine Riddle, and Jennifer Brinkerhoff; and 6 grandchildren, Rebecca, Lucy, Jessica, Isabella, Raina, and Jacob.
