Eddie Cecil Hall, 62 of Orlando, Florida was called to his heavenly home on the early morning of August 25, 2023 with his loving wife Kathy and parents by his side. Eddie was born to Cecil and Madie Hall on September 25,1960, he was a life–long resident of the Central Florida area and attended Colonial High School. Eddie married his best friend and soulmate, Kathy on March 21, 1998 and recently they celebrated 25 wonderful years of marriage.
Eddie worked his earlier years in the Ready Mix Concrete industry and held various positions as a driver, loader and Plant Manager. He then followed his dream of becoming a Professional Over-the-Road truck driver. His parents helped him with the purchase of his first truck where he became an Owner/Operator of a Red Freightliner Classic, “Big Red” and later purchased a Blue Peterbilt 386, “Cat Ballou”. The best time of his life is when he convinced his wife Kathy to join him on the road. He told her he would take her places she never been. They spent 24/7 traveling the continental US 48 states and enjoyed taking time off in various areas to see the family and friends or just explore. Eddie and Kathy loved spending time together, wherever you saw Eddie, Kathy was right there by his side. Eddie’s CB handle was “Catfish” and Kathy later decided her handle would be “Ladybug”. When they were home, they enjoyed spending quality time with their family and friends. Unfortunately, Eddie’s medical condition would not allow for him to continue what he loved doing. This is when he had to make a career change and obtained his certification in the Security Industry. Eddie enjoyed working in security, but his real passion was being around those Big Trucks. He missed not being able to drive. There were times when he would join his wife as a passenger, just to be on the road and spend time with her. Eddie also volunteered with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office as a “Citizen on Patrol”. He would proudly get into uniform and drive around in the Sheriff’s vehicle and patrol the roadways of Seminole County, working traffic accidents, and crowd control for special events. Eddie was proud of his service volunteering in this role.
Eddie comes from a very large family and loved spending time with each and every one of them. Anyone who met Eddie Hall was drawn in by his magnetic personality which immediately would put a smile on your face while laughing and having a good time. His favorite past time was FISHING! It didn’t matter if it was from the bank or out on the boat. He would say “You can never have too many fishing poles.” (His collection consisted of 62 poles). There were many camping trips which included FISHING, campfire, BBQ and of course a FISH FRY.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife Kathleen Mary Hall, two daughters; Amanda Nicole Myers (Jesse), Christina Sue Piccirillo (Phil) and step-son Daniel Jay Arthur. Parents; Cecil Ruel Hall and Madie Pauline Hall, Brothers; Wendell Dale Hall (Donna), Glen Mark Hall (Tina) and Troy Lynn Hall (Dina). Eleven grandchildren, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Proceeded in death by his son Jason Craig Hall and step-son Douglas Alan Arthur.
Eddie had many medical challenges, which were each individually attacking him internally. He was a fighter and fought through each battle as hard as he could. Eddie was in need of a kidney transplant and our family would like to give special recognition to his dear friend and fishing buddy, Dan Roslund who was a match for Eddie and was going to be his living donor. Eddie fought hard but his body was tired and could no longer put up the fight. Eddie would tell us all today “Don’t cry for me, EAT! Celebrate, and have a good time with family and friends”. Eddie will always be in our hearts and we know one day we will be reunited with him. Until then, he will be truly missed by us all.
