Epifanio (Epi) Delgado was born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico where he married the love of his life. Together they raised two beautiful children and had a long fulfilled career until they moved to Florida where he carried out the remainder of his life until passing. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Delgado, whom he loved for over 74 years. He is also survived by 2 children, Nelson Delgado and Noelia Velasquez, 6 grandchildren and14 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday at 1pm at Baldwin Fairchild at Chapel Hill, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL. As a retired principal, Epi had a heart for helping others and shaping the future generation of young men and women. He was well respected and honored as a retired principal and politician. As a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and Friend, Epi was ever so present in time of need. Whether it was to move across the country to support a recently divorced daughter raise her three children, give a son words of advice as he ventured to begin a family and raise children of his own, buy a new car for a grandchild or faithfully send “harinita.” No matter the life season or how discouraging life became, his words lifted you up. His faith never wandered and favorite verse ever so clear, “En el mundo tendréis aflicción; pero confiad, Yo he vencido al mundo!" He was always there for everyone no matter the time of day or night. Everyone that met Epi, loved Epi. It is an honor to have known him. May we continue sharing the lessons he taught us and carry on his legacy to love one another, be kind, giving and selfless.
