John L. Bickley

John Lewis Bickley of Orlando, Florida passed away on January 9, 2021 at the age of 88 while in Hospice care. John was born in Lincoln, Nebraska to the late Mary and Lewis R. Bickley II. His wife, Ingrid, who predeceased him, were married for 50 years, was waiting to greet him at the gates of heaven upon his passing.

John graduated from the Core of Cadets at The Citadel in 1955 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and was in the Regimental Band.

Throughout his life, John enjoyed fishing, politics and financial investing.

John spent his career as an insurance underwriter/investigator for Travelers Insurance and Lynn Underwriters while residing in West Palm Beach, Boca Raton and Orlando, Florida.

He is survived by his four adult children, Andrea, Lewis and John Bickley and stepdaughter Michele Orlando, 3 step-grandchildren and numerous step great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID services are private. John will be buried next to his wife, Ingrid, in the Doctor Phillips Cemetery.
