Laverne Edward Peitzsch

Laverne Edward Peitzsch, age 79, was born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Canada, and passed away peacefully in VA hospice care in Orlando, Florida, on August 25, 2025.

He proudly served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Barbara Mader, and his sister, Barbara Peitzsch. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ida and Wilfred Peitzsch, and his son, Timothy Peitzsch.

Laverne enjoyed photography throughout his life, a love he passed on to his daughter, who continues in his footsteps behind the camera. He was a skilled mechanic by trade and could always be found tinkering with something in the garage.

He shared a special bond with his dog, Ranger, and over the years had many German Shepherds who brought him joy and companionship.

There will not be a public memorial service. Laverne will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Orlando, Florida.
