Leonides Perez de Corcho

Leonides was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was defined by love, generosity, compassion, and devotion to her family and those around her.

She married her beloved husband, Silvestre Silvino Perez De Corcho, on December 15, 1959. They shared many beautiful years together until his passing on July 23, 2022. Leonides was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Gerardo Silvio Perez De Corcho, who passed away on May 1, 2023.

Leonides had a true passion for cooking. Her home was a place where everyone was welcomed with open arms, delicious food, laughter, and love. She took great joy in preparing meals and making sure that anyone who came through her door was fed, cared for, and made to feel at home. Many wonderful memories were created around her table, surrounded by family, friends, good food, and happy moments.

Another one of Leonides’ greatest passions was gardening. She had not only a green thumb, but a natural talent for bringing life and beauty to everything she touched. Everything she planted seemed to flourish beautifully, much like the love and care she gave to the people in her life.

Leonides had a remarkable heart. She never hesitated to help anyone who needed her. She would care for others without asking questions or expecting anything in return. No matter the situation, she was always there to take care of you. Making sure that everyone around her was safe, fed, loved, and cared for brought her great happiness.

Her sincere and loving ways made everyone who knew her feel special. Laughter and love were always present whenever you were around Leonides. Her home was more than a place—it was a gathering place filled with warmth, family, friendship, wonderful meals, beautiful plants, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Leonides is survived by her loving daughter, Siomara Smith; son-in-law, Roberto E. Gaier; daughter-in-law, Sally Anne Perez De Corcho; and her beloved grandchildren, Soraya Gaier, Alex Perez De Corcho, Chris Perez De Corcho, and Alyssa Perez De Corcho.

She is also survived by her brother, Miguel Bermudez Cuba; sister, Milta Bermudez Cuba; sister-in-law, Selia Valdez; and many family members and friends who loved her dearly and will forever cherish her memory.

Leonides leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through the family she cared for, the lives she touched, the meals she lovingly prepared, the gardens she nurtured, and the countless memories she created with those around her.

She will be deeply missed, but the love she gave so freely will remain in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

May she rest peacefully, reunited with her beloved husband and son, and may her memory forever be a blessing to all who loved her.
