Born on August 8, 1939, Maria lived a life marked by love, strength, and service. She was the devoted wife of the late Luis E. Rivera, and together they built a warm and welcoming home filled with family, faith, and generosity. Their doors were always open, and their hearts always ready to help others.
Maria was a loving mother to four children—three daughters and a son—and a proud grandmother of ten, as well as a great-grandmother to three. She poured her heart into her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her greatest joy, and her beloved dog, Bobby, who filled her heart with so much love.
Maria had a gift for making people feel seen, loved, and welcomed. Whether she was cooking a meal, telling a story, or sharing a cup of cafecíto, she brought people together with warmth and grace. She loved traveling, fishing, and being surrounded by those she loved most.
Though we mourn her loss, we celebrate the beautiful legacy she leaves behind—one of strength, compassion, and unconditional love. She will live on in every memory, every tradition, and every heart she touched.
“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” - Matthew 25:23
