Leaving the beautiful Isla Del Encanta, Diana made her way to New York City in her mid/late teen years and brought life to her two sons Frank Rivera (Panchito) and SiFrederick Rivera-Mitchell (Freddy) before moving to Orlando, Florida in 1986 where spent the next 33 years working in the Hospitality/Transportation/Food Service industries before retiring.
She enjoyed many hobbies but was fixated on Bowling and Bingo and her love for singing where she participated in many of her jobs talent contests (and came in 1st place on several occasions). But she was obsessed with her Latin court show “Caso Cerrado” as well as her love for her beloved pets BeeBee, T’Challa and Cinnamon.
She was recognized by her Co-workers as kind hearted, and nurturing. She had a great gentle spirit and positive attitude in industries that required great customer service in many high level stressful situations. Always smiling, she made everyone feel welcomed and she carried herself with dignity wherever she went despite facing many difficult challenges throughout her life. She believed in God and was always steadfast in her faith and continually prayerful.
