Nelida Margarita Lopez-Martinez

Like a butterfly whose wings touched all who knew her, Nelida Lopez Martinez lived a life filled with grace, strength, and boundless love. On the morning of July 4, 2025, she spread her wings and took her final flight, embraced by peace and surrounded by the love she so freely gave throughout her life.

Born on October 22, 1960, Nelida was a woman of quiet resilience and deep warmth. She carried herself with dignity and kindness, nurturing everyone in her path, a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a treasured daughter, sister, and a loyal, irreplaceable friend.

She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, her beloved children and grandchildren, her cherished mother, her dear brothers and sisters, and a circle of close friends who became family through the years. Nelida’s friendships were a reflection of her heart, genuine, lasting, and full of care. Her presence in the lives of those around her was a gift, her love a gentle refuge.

To know Nelida was to be touched by a rare light steady, comforting, and radiant. Her laughter lifted our hearts, her wisdom grounded us, and her love lives on in every life she helped shape.

Butterflies remind us that life is brief but beautiful and so was her time here. Though she has taken flight, her spirit remains, fluttering gently in memories, stories, and in the love that continues to bloom in all who knew her.

A visitation for Nelida will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild at Chapel Hill, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32817. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32817. A graveside service will occur Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2420 Harrell Rd, Orlando, FL 32817.
