Nora Garcia

Nora Garcia, 87, passed away peacefully at home on January 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 26, 1939, in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico, she moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut, at a young age. Later, in 1999, she relocated to Oviedo, Florida, where she resided for the last 26 years, sharing her life with her cherished husband, Ernie Garcia.

Nora was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her kind soul and caring heart made her an angel on earth, always showering her family with unconditional love. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ernie Garcia, whom she cherished for over half of her life. Their children, Ernie “Tito” Garcia Jr. and his wife Betty, Ivan “Irok” Garcia and his wife Toni, and her only daughter, Lenora Garcia. She also leaves behind her siblings, Lucy DeJesus, Iris Martin, and Hector Rivera.

She was predeceased by her mother Otilia Rivera; father Jose Rivera; and siblings Jose “Chico” Rivera, and Maria Rivera.

Nora’s family will miss her dearly. Her passing has left an indelible mark on their lives, and she will forever be remembered as a cherished member of their family.
