Ronald Lee Arahood

Ronald “Ron” Arahood, age 62, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022. Survivors include daughter, Cara Arahood; grandson, DJ Ware; granddaughter, Carleigh Ware; great granddaughter, Aubree Ware; son, Ron Arahood Jr.; wife, Jeanette Arahood; grandson, Trey Arahood; brother, Paul Arahood and wife Jan Arahood; sister, Dianna Davis. A viewing for Ron, will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Baldwin Fairchild at Chapel Hill, 2420 Harrell Rd, Orlando, Florida, 32817. Ron’s funeral service will be held at the same location as the viewing on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm and a committal service will occur from 12:15 pm to 12:45 pm. Following the funeral there will be a reception at the funeral home. Ron was born in Dayton, Ohio to Emma Metz and Orville Arahood on March 9, 1959. Ron joined the military in 1977. On July 4, 1973, he met his future wife, Cathy “Kate” Lawhorn. On September 10, 1977, after Ron completed Navy bootcamp, they married in his mother’s backyard. Ron and Kate celebrated 42 wonderful years of marriage. During this time, Ron has lived in Ohio, California, South Carolina, Italy, Virginia, and, once retired from the military, Florida. He also retired from OUC. Ron was passionate, funny, hardworking and a fighter. Other than working, Ron enjoyed watching football (go Steelers), home improvement projects, and riding his Harley. Ron is now with his loving wife where they will be together for eternity. The family of Ron Arahood wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all those who have supported him during the loss of his wife and his ongoing medical conditions.
