

Thomas Alan Frazier, 79, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021, from natural causes, at his home in Orlando, Florida. Thomas was born in Cleveland, OH on November 29, 1941, to Mansfield and Nettie Mae Frazier. Trained as a draftsman, he worked at a number of companies throughout Greater Cleveland before moving to Atlanta, GA where he became the chief instructor at the Academy of Professional Drafting. After a number of years, he moved to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and for 30 years he utilized his skills to create the blueprints for a sewer system along the new highway in Jamaica, along with teaching youth in his community business and computer skills.
Thomas moved back to the US and worked for the Plain Dealer in his hometown Cleveland, Ohio, before retiring in Orlando, FL. There, Thomas became an elderly scholar student at Valencia College. In 2015 he made the Presidential’ s list and in 2017 he made the Dean's list. He received a certificate of completion in drafting and tutored many of his classmates.
Thomas loved horticulture. He planted trees and a lush garden with bananas, greens, guava, papayas, natural herbs, bamboo and various flowers. He worked with the City of Orlando to get trees donated to his neighborhood and led his community in beautifying his neighborhood and educating residents about the power of plants.
He is survived by his wife Michelle, his partner Maggie, his brother Mansfield Jr., his daughters Deborah, Machelle, Vera and his sons Torman and Katz. Thomas’s grandchildren are Janeen, Khamall , Nyela, Muata, Jaramis, Jared, Jaleasa, Darrell, Carmen, Anita. Thomas' s greatgrandchildren are Jevin, Camden, Kalel, and Kaia. He also is survived by two nieces, Alyson and Ashley.
