Alan Whitehead passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Imogene Lee Whitehead (Wilson), and his Father, Robert Dewey Whitehead, Jr. Alan is survived by his Brother, Jeff; his Sister & Brother-in-Law, Renee & John; Nieces, Ashlee & Faith (Kyle); Nephews, Kiel (Bree), Roger (Kayleigh), Payton, & Jesse (Elle); Great-nieces, Gracee & Skye; Great-nephews, Carter, Dom, Konnor, & Theo; and many more family members, friends, & co-workers.
Alan grew up in Overland Park, Kansas and graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1982. He then attended Kansas State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1986.
Alan worked for Overland Chauffeur Services for over 25 years, and was a valued and trusted employee throughout that time. He drove for a variety of celebrities, as well as, prominent clients, business executives, and families all of whom thought very highly of him.
He enjoyed all sports, both participating and watching, but his passion was golf. Alan was blessed with many long-time friendships, including some that became like family to him, whom he greatly valued. He will be missed by all who knew him.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Overland Park Assembly of God Church at 7700 W. 75th Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66204. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; the Service will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; and a family meal will follow in the Fellowship Hall. Memorial contributions in Alan's name may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
