Arch (Archie) E. Olson, 88, of Overland Park, KS passed away January 22, 2013. A visitation will be Wednesday, January 30th from 11:00 AM - Noon with a Funeral Service at Noon at McGilley and Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS. Burial will follow funeral service at Antioch Cemetery. He was born May 27, 1924 in Ottawa, KS. He received a B.A. from Ottawa University in 1949. He has lived in the JOCO area since 1961 and retired from the S.S. Admin in 1985. He served on a B-24 bomber in the 15th A.F. in Italy during WWII, was a life member of the American Legion Post 370, VFW Post 846, and a member of the 40 and 8. Arch was married to his beloved wife, Marian (Shaffer/Griffin) Olson on August 4, 1952. He is survived by Marian, 2 daughters; Sheryl Wayman and Susan Nickelson, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 brothers and 4 sisters, plus many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son; Bill Olson, 1 sister, 1 brother, his parents, and very special grandparents.
