Barbara Brown, age 82, peacefully passed away July 28, 2021. She was born in Munich, Germany, coming to the USA in 1960 where she worked in Boston for Pistorino, assistant to the Executive VP, and later in New York City for Pistorino. Barbara was an accomplished ball room dancer in both Germany and the USA, and this was amongst her many talents. She loved the ocean, in particular Cape Cod where she had a second home always spending the summers nearly becoming a "Caper" herself.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Ursula and Rudi Mietrup.
Barbara leaves behind her husband, Peter; daughter, Tanya Sutherland (David) and grandson, Cale Sutherland; and mother-in-law, Jonel Sutherland.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association. A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4pm on Tuesday, August 10th 2021 at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, Kansas. Online condolences may be left at www.mcgilleyhoge.com
