Bernadine C. Pierce

Bernadine Cecilia Pierce, age 93, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023 at home. Bernadine was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 13, 1930 to Frederick A. and Jesse Cecilia (Wilson) Kramer.

A Rosary service for Bernadine will begin at 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 2, 2023 with visitation to follow until 6:00 PM at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, Kansas 66204. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM on Monday, July 3, 2023 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 W. 103rd Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66214. The committal service will immediately follow in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, Missouri 64138.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Bernadine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked for many years and retired as an insurance underwriter. Family was her greatest happiness in her life. She was a very giving person who would help in any way she could. She was active with Catholic Charities by crocheting lap blankets and donating those to them. She was a great animal lover and loved her dogs and would spoil them any chance she could.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene A. Pierce; her parents; brother, Richard Kramer; and sister, Joanne Kramer.

She is survived by sons, Michael E. Pierce and Richard D. Pierce; grandchildren, Ian E. Pierce, Brianne E. Polzin, and Meghan M. Pierce; great grandchildren, Clara R. Polzin and Georgia L. Polzin; nephew, Kurt Kramer; and nieces, Diana Kramer and Donna Kramer.
