Brian was a man who lived life with a fearless spirit. In his younger years, he found joy on the slopes as an avid snowboarder, embracing adventure and the thrill of the moment. That same boldness carried through his life, shaping the way he experienced the world.
He built a career in IT and more than anything, Brian loved his family deeply. His greatest pride and love was his daughter, Chloe Dougherty, who meant everything to him.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Chloe Dougherty; his mother, Marcia Dougherty; and his sister, Kathie Lumbard. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Dougherty.
While Brian faced challenges throughout his life, he remained deeply loved by those who knew him. His story is one of resilience and complexity.
In honor of his memory, and in support of others facing similar struggles, the family asks that donations be made to First Call KC, an organization dedicated to substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery support. Donations can be made at: https://www.firstcallkc.org/donate/
Brian will be remembered for his adventurous spirit and his love for his family. He will be deeply missed.
