Catherine Margaret Ferrell

Catherine Margaret Ferrell passed away peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father on May 28, 2015, surrounded by her family. Catherine was born the youngest of seven children to George and Myrtle Epple on March 26, 1933. She was raised in Pittsburg, KS and met and wed her devoted husband, James L. Ferrell on August 19, 1950. Catherine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who will truly be missed. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James; sister, Sylvia Livingston; daughter, Susan Straub and husband, Ernie; grandchildren, Paul, Ernie IV, Andrew (Kristin), Matthew, Daniel and Rebekah Straub; and great grandchildren, Matthew and Gideon Straub.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 3rd from 5-8 pm with the Rosary at 7:30 pm at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 5501 Monticello Road, Shawnee, KS 66226. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, June 4th at 10:00 am at the church. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Catholic Charities of NEKS or to the Bishop Sullivan Center, KCMO.
