Colleen Marie McKeone

Colleen M. McKeone, 60, of Roeland Park, Kansas formerly of Overland Park passed away December 21, 2016. She was born June 23, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri to William E. McKeone, Jr and Ione D. (Conley) McKeone. Colleen began her career with JCPenney's and Alliance Data during her High school years and contributed over 30 years of dedicated service with them. She then made a career change to Unbound over 10 years ago and worked as a volunteer coordinator. It was here where she impacted so many lives and made long lasting friendships.

She was an avid swimmer and loved to travel- Hawaii and Las Vegas were two of her most favorite places, traveling there many times in a year. Besides flying, she really enjoyed taking her road trips across the United States. She loved going to concerts, from Loverboy to Newsboys and had a true love for music from 70s/80s Rock to Christian Rock. Colleen made many new friends, who became like family to her, while traveling to her destinations. She also enjoyed gardening, and was proud of her pumpkins. She loved to decorate for every holiday, especially Christmas. Christmas was her favorite time of the year. One of her main passions were animals. She would care and rescue them all from squirrels, birds, cats and dogs. She was also a collector of dolls- small or large, Wizard of Oz was her preference.

She is preceded in death by her mother, aunts, uncles and cousins, Nancy Conley and Melissa Chavez.

She is survived by her sisters, Patti Post and Kathy McKeone and many loving family members and close friends and,of course, her fur babies: Sadie, Ty and Yuri.

She enjoyed entertaining with her family and friends and touched so many lives. She had a heart of gold and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
