As a Veteran of WWII he served his country in the finance corps as a Master Sergeant. He returned to the banking business and finished his career at the Plaza Bank & Trust Co., KCMO, as Executive Vice President. He retired from the bank in 1981 and continued living in Overland Park, Ks. He leaves behind his wife, Bernetta, and two sons Stephen and Phil. He is also preceded in death by three brothers, Everett, Calvin, and William and his sister Lucille.
Funeral services will be at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection (9100 Mission Rd. PVKS) at 3:00 pm on Sat. Nov. 19. The visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 at the church. Burial in the Minden Cemetery, Minden, Nebraska on Mon. Nov. 21, at 10:00 am.
He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church, or the American Red Cross, Greater Kansas City Chapter, 211 W. Armour Blvd. KCMO 64111.
