Dan Bruchman

Daniel Easter Bruchman, age 60, of Mission, KS died February 6, 2017 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 pm on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 7023 W. 71st Street, Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 pm Friday at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS.

Daniel was born on April 1, 1956 in Kansas City, KS to Robert W. and Genevieve L. (Gorski) Bruchman. He had a fondness for the outdoors and animals, which included a few exotic pets over the years, including a parrot and alligator. He enjoyed raising flowers and vegetables and always enjoyed cooking. Daniel had an especially pleasant childhood fishing with his uncles and nephew. He developed many fond memories with his father over the years on fishing trips. He also enjoyed spending time at the family farm. Daniel received an associate degree in the Liberal Arts and worked in pottery and drawing. He developed an endurance and tenacity in accomplishing a task until he succeeded or was overcome by exhaustion. For the last twenty eight years his greatest ally was his Mother, caring for her every day needs up until her nineties. Daniel will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his brothers, Dr. Robert C. Bruchman and his wife, Patricia; and Ronald J. Bruchman; nephew, Rob Bruchman and his wife, Janell; niece, Sara Hess and her husband, Carl; and great-nieces, Emma and Kate. Condolences may be left online at www.mcgilleyhoge.com.
