Denny Kimbriel, 73, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on May 30, 2020. Denny was born on November 5, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri to Loyce J. Kimbriel and Louise Kimbriel. Private inurnment at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas.
Denny was a gentle, humble soul. He was a hard worker, a trustworthy friend, and a patriot. He was a jokester and a notorious smooth talker, but he backed up his talk with genuine compassion, finding friends wherever he went. His appetite for adventure took him traveling and fueled a lifelong passion for anything with horsepower and speed. If you needed Denny, it was a safe bet you could find him cruising on his motorcycle or helping out a friend. He was the type of friend you could go to for anything. No favor was too big, and he was never too busy to listen. He was quick with a joke and even quicker to show off one of his many pocket knives. Denny lived life to the fullest and was young at heart all the way to the end. Denny taught his friends and family a lot of things, but if there’s one thing he’d want them to remember, it’d be to keep things fun and to never take life too seriously.
Denny is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Cindy Doyle and Donna Smith; and brother, Kim Kimbriel. He is survived by his daughter, Sonya Jarmusch (Keith); granddaughters, Madison and Cassandra Jarmusch; sister, Barbara White Smith of Lenexa, Kansas; and brother, Steve Kimbriel (Barbara) of Tucson, Arizona.
